Bass player wanted for improv psych trio Dream Sun. Our longterm bassist moved out of state and we are hoping to replace him with someone similar. Looking for someone able to fill out a long-form ambient/acid/psych rock sound with solid grooves and and an open and resonant bottom end tone. Ability to respond smoothly to changes in tempo and volume a must. No virtuoso chops required or desired. Recent influences include Earthless, Dead Meadow, and King Buffalo. Throw in some Pink Floyd and Slowdive. Wall of sound with lots of distortion, fuzz, delay, and reverb sums it up. As we come out of the pandemic, we'll look to play out for sure. Must be vaccinated. Current members are between mid-40s and mid-50s but we are open to people from any age or background with a professional but non-uptight attitude.
