I didn't expect to see you walking down the liquor section without shoes. I thought maybe you were trying to buy a bottle of something sweet and leave the store as quickly as possible, so I made a wide berth and clung to the opposite side of the aisle. You seemed to be pretty easy going, not in a rush, twirling your basket and running your hand through your hair. I snuck a peak as I passed and your feet looked soft and clean. Parking lot black top didn't seem to affect you. Nor did the sticky floor beneath the shelf of pink and flavored liquors. I wondered if anyone would ask you to put on shoes or slippers while you shopped. How would you respond to them? Maybe you'd laugh and pull out a pair of slippers from your purse. Maybe you'd ignore them and continue shopping. Maybe you didn't care who was looking. What else would you do to not be noticed? I'd love to find out.
