On Oct 24, 2021, MAC SPEED AND CUSTOM, a world class hot rod and classic car service center in Fullerton California, will be hosting a live event celebrating Leo Fender in the very space the Fender Music Factory occupied from the mid fifties until the eighties. 500 S. Raymond, the current address of MAC’s, is considered sacred ground for Fender fans and music enthusiasts, and this will be an event worthy of that legacy.
There will be live music, a classic car and hot rod show, and the premier master builder for the Fender Custom shop, Ron Thorn, will be on hand to assemble a Stratocaster in the very space it was invented. There will be raffles, silent auctions, and vendors, with proceeds benefiting the OC Mission. This is being done with the full support of the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce who will be on site that day for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
