Carla Properties, Ltd. is hiring now for an experienced apartment maintenance technician who will perform routine maintenance requests at our Westside apartment communities. This position will work on two apartment community teams and have a set weekly schedule. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and organized person who wants to expand their career in property management maintenance. The maintenance technician duties include, but are not limited to: * Perform routine and emergency maintenance requests and apartment turns. * Schedule and complete preventative maintenance projects. *Responsible for appearance of office, clubhouse and models, upkeep of pools areas (including chemical balancing), building exteriors, walkways, entryways and property lighting. * Could travel occasionally to other Carla properties to cover for staffing shortages and/or emergency response, as necessary. * Promotes and maintains positive resident relations. Qualifications, Skills and Abilities *Two (2) years apartment maintenance experience required. * Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the following areas: electrical, appliance, plumbing repair, drywall, doors, molding, trim work, painting and caulking, vinyl flooring installation, general maintenance and construction skills to make units "rent ready." * Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, use basic hand tools, kneel, squat and bend, assist in a two-person lift of household appliances. *Able to work with maintenance supervisor and/or resident manager to establish workflow priorities. * Able to comply with emergency cell phone and on-call emergency duties for evenings, weekends and holiday coverage. *Ideally live within 15 minutes of the property. *Able to work well in a team environment.
