ROLE SUMMARY / PURPOSE The General Helper worker is responsible for performing maintenance task necessary to keep production flow running, such as, material movement, consumables handling (i.e., oil, coolant, etc.), and support the maintenance department for other activities as needed. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to use power and hand tools. Responsible for assisting in minor facilities repairs and janitorial work such as floors, sinks, walls, roofs, doors, and cabinets. Maintain the daily floor consumables replenishment such as oil and coolant. Dispose the daily metal waste, collection and maintain the cleanliness of the waste area. Fills out required repair logs. Assume and perform other duties as assigned. Perform varies duties that require the use of forklift. Act as assistant as needed to perform maintenance on equipment and facility repairs. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or GED required. 2 years of experience, in general maintenance is required but more is preferred. Must have forklift experience.
