Description

Name: Riley Sex: Female Size: Large (some photos are before she reached full size, she’s a large dog now) Breed: Mom was a German Shepard & dad was a Stumped Tail Cattle dog (so she was born with a nub tail) Age: Just over 1 year old Price: FREE -Not spayed- -NOT good with cats and recommend not kept with small dogs- -House trained- -Very people friendly- -Rabies vaccination due on October 29th- Reason for rehoming: She has attacked our small rat terrier, female dog twice now and this time it was bad. Riley last attacked her in July but it wasn’t as bad as this time. I tried to keep them separated all this time and keep a close eye on them to keep her, but my little sister ended up opening the door and letting them together for only a few seconds and Riley got ahold of her. I have other dogs, big and small, and she’s never attacked them but she doesn’t like my rat terrier probably because my rat terrier doesn’t like other female dogs and tries to pretend to be a boss over them, with growling and raised hackles but she’s never hurt any other dogs and is all show. After this incident where Riley almost killed my other dog, I cannot keep her any longer. I fully believe had I not got there and pulled her off that she wouldn’t have stopped until she was dead. She also has a weird fixation about cats and stalks them, and I believe now that she’s full grown and having seen her attack a dog that she would probably kill a cat now. I tried to get her used to cats for a couple months when I first got her, but her obsession with them is too intense. And once I saw her try to grab ahold of a fleeing cat she was chasing, I knew it was too dangerous to have her around them any longer. I got her near the end of October 2020 and was told she was 19 weeks old at that time. I do NOT recommend her to anyone with cats or small dogs. Honestly, it’d probably be best for her to be the only dog, just in case. Although I’ve seen her cower from the larger dogs so she might be fine to be with friendly, large dogs. She’s never attacked a person or shown any aggression at all with a person. If you are interested or have any other questions about her, feel free to send me an email from the contact information or text .
