General Summary: Under general supervision, the Reconditioning Associate IV is responsible for daily reconciliation of vehicle inventory. Facilitates the direction of work and disseminates tasks from the Production Managers to Associates in the areas of zone maintenance, prep for delivery, vehicle receiving, inventory transfers, scanning and reconciliation of vehicle inventory, and vehicle movement (on and off lot). Reports behaviors, attendance, performance, and tardiness of Associates to Manager. On as needed basis, responsible for duties including but not limited to, zone maintenance, prep for delivery, vehicle receiving, inventory scanning, vehicle movement (both on and off lot), basic vehicle detailing including car wash, wash bay, interior cleaning,/vacuuming, exterior cleanliness, completing cosmetic inspection, final quality inspections, paint touch-up, wet sanding and buffing. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Train and mentor associates in performance of standardized work/ processes - Document, improve and ensure compliance of standardized work/ processes - Facilitate direction of work and tasks to Associates in all inventory areas - Ensure timely performance of all inventory functions - Direct and approve work of vendors - Perform daily reconciliation of vehicle inventory - Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement activities - Provide auction support - Provide outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers - Complete duties as assigned by Leads and Managers Working Conditions: - Indoor and outdoor environment (primarily outdoor environment); may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions. - Requires walking or standing for extended periods of time. - Wears CarMax clothing (acquired through company) at all times working in the store. - Follows all CarMax, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards including the use of Personal Protective Equipment, and proper waste disposal in required areas. - Adheres to all CarMax policies including, but not limited to: Attendance, Proper Recording of Time, Asset Protection, Safety and Standards of Professional Appearance.
