All the basics you need to know to start your own food or drink business in WNY!
Maybe you picked up a baking hobby during quarantine, or perhaps you’ve always dreamed of owning a food truck, or maybe your friends have been telling you to bottle your special hot sauce for years and now it’s time!
But where to start?
This informative 2hr class will cover the basics regarding health inspections, permits, insurance, and the rules and regulations regarding making and selling food in New York State.
We will have presenters from the Erie County Health Dept. as well as Buffalo State’s Small Business Development Center to answer questions and provide you with necessary paperwork. You will also be able to tour the commercial kitchen at MAP and speak with Bethany, our Kitchen Manager, to get started on the process of renting space if needed.
This in-person class will be on Wednesday, November 2, from 6:30-8:30pm at 387 Massachusetts Avenue.
