Our yoga practice is inspired by Katonah Yoga ®, a Hatha practice created by Nevine Michaan that blends Taoist theory, sacred geometry, meditation, and pranayama (breath work).
We use the archetypes of the asanas (shapes) to inform and transform our experience of what it means to be embodied. To formalize our practice, it is helpful to bring with you a thick blanket (a couple thick towels could work) and a yoga mat. Although we will provide blocks, you are welcome to bring your own.
About Nabi:
Nabi is a complex-trauma psychotherapist, gardener, yoga teacher and mama-to-be. She specializes her practice in the somatic experience of individual and ancestral trauma.
