NEC code calculations: From raceway fill to fault currents Class Schedule 7:15 a.m. - 8 a.m.: Sign-in  8 a.m. - noon: Workshop Noon - 1 p.m.: Lunch provided 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.: Workshop continues Class Description Complying with the rules of the 2020 National Electrical Code (NEC) requires understanding of many different types of calculations. These include service sizing, available fault currents, system and equipment grounding conductor sizing, raceway fill, box fill, voltage drop, and several other types of calculations. This course will provide clear explanations of those calculations through many examples. Participants will receive a workbook, which will contain all the example calculations the instructor will be going through in the course. Many of the calculations covered will be typical of those asked on tests that are taken for the purpose of obtaining an electrician’s license. • Participation qualifies for eight code credits in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. • Reduced credit hours for this course are not available. • Course qualifies for power limited credits. Taking the class on multiple days will not qualify for 16 code credits.  • Fees - $75 for eight hour session. • Refunds will only be issued if notification is given 7 days prior to the start of the workshop. • Lunch and refreshments are provided. Instructor: Tim Pull Tim Pull has been preparing electricians for the job site and for state electrical licensing exams for three decades. He spent more than three decades teaching in the electrical department at the North Dakota State College of Science and is now providing training independently through TJP Electrical Training.  Tim has presented hundreds of seminars on the National Electrical Code. He knows what information electricians need to pass the tests, and -- just as importantly -- he knows how to present that information in an understandable, engaging, memorable way. He uses graphics to illustrate key concepts, provides clear answers to questions, and does not waste time on unnecessary material.
