Primary Function: The Packhouse Line Lead will report to the Packhouse Supervisor and will be responsible for the administration and reporting of daily operations for all activities which are covered under pack house operations. These activities will include inventory control along with proper completion of each day/week’s plans and goals. Primary Responsibilities: • Continuously monitor and ensure production quality meets customer spec, focusing on quality of product, case and pallet labels. • Implement and monitor employee adherence to hygiene/GAP practices and safety guidelines. • Oversee inventory control with input and output of product in NAV. • Assign workers to line positions per play sheet, rotate workers throughout shift. • Support Packhouse Supervisor as needed • Knowledge of all Food Safety protocols and paperwork • Please note that this job description is not all inclusive and that there may be other responsibilities as assigned. Education/Background Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Previous experience in a leadership role preferred Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required • Computer proficiency required with data entry experience preferred. • Proficiency in use of English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally, present information and direction, and field questions from managers, employees and external contacts. • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrated problem solving and attention to detail. Working Conditions: • Environment includes a refrigerated warehouse where the temperature could be 50°F and background noise approaches 70 dcbs. • Occasional lifting of up to 30lb may be required. • Must be able to work around bees. • Will be on feet and walking a minimum of 80% of the time on concrete surfaces.
