Learn Swing Dance! Drink Coffee! What could be more fun on a Saturday?! For total Dance Noobs and experienced Swing Dancers alike. Whether you love coffee, swing dancing, both, or have little to no experience with either, this event is sure to please. Liturgy Coffee from Durham Food Hall sets up shop at Arthur Murray Dance Center of Durham for a mid-afternoon coffee and dance break! This 90-minute party will introduce the basic steps of some of America's favorite swing dances (yes, there are many). Tell a friend, bring a posse, or join us solo. There will be plenty of people to dance with! And plenty of coffee. Don't worry, we take COVID very seriously and will be fully-masked and have plenty of hand sanitizer on-site. All of our staff are vaccinated, and the studio has fantastic airflow; also, you're encouraged to dance with many people but aren't required to. We'll respect everyone's individual space! It's going to be a very fun day. Come dancing! Location: 410 W Geer St on the North edge of Downtown Durham. We're in a big, pink building next to Cocoa CInnamon on the Northeast corner of Geer St & Foster. Seriously, great, big mural wrapped around the building. It's awesome. Parking: Front lot on Geer St fills up fast, so there is also a side/rear lot with entry on Foster Street. If that is full, street parking and nearby lots are available. Allow a little time on the front end. Arrival: No Physical Tickets necessary. Stop by the front door/front desk and your name will be on a list if you've RSVP'd.
