Crisis Intervention Team Training is a solution focused community model response to helping people in crisis.
By the end of this 40-hour training academy, participants will be able to:
Understand common signs and symptoms of mental illnessSafely de-escalate individuals experiencing behavioral health crisesUtilize available resources and diversion strategies to provide assistanceEngage partners to meet the needs of those in crisis.This curriculum is taught by local specialists from law enforcement, behavioral health, and the consumer advocate field. We will also be hearing from local families with first hand experience with the crisis response system.
All social distancing regulations will be followed in accordance with guidance provided by Rhode Island Department of Health.
