NCHGS works to share the stories of Northampton County’s past to encourage personal reflection, community dialogue, and an understanding of history’s impact on our lives. We use the important lessons from our history to offer the community dynamic tours, family programs for diverse populations, thought-provoking exhibitions, and special events. We provide student and adult research opportunities at the Jane S. Moyer Library and the NCHGS Archives. We preserve the Bachmann Publick House, the Mixsell Illick House, and the Jacob Nicholas House. We care for the Kressler Memorial Garden and an outstanding museum collection at the Sigal Museum. We also publish books and newsletters, offer curriculum-based educational tours to students, and custom group tours and talks. Join us to make history come to life!
