YONKERS, NY — Police are asking for the community's help locating a missing 16-year-old with a potentially dangerous medical condition.
Authorities say Felice Kozak has glycogen storage disease type 1B. Glycogen storage disease (GSD) is a rare condition that changes the way the body uses and stores glycogen, a form of sugar or glucose, according to Johns Hopkins.
Kozak was last seen at 135 Holls Terrace North in Yonkers on Oct. 20, according to a missing person advisory issued by the Yonkers Police Department on Thursday evening.
YPD is circulating a recent photograph of Kozak. She is described as White, 5'5'' and weighing approximately 130 pounds. The teen was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and black sneakers.
Yonkers police added that Kozak may be in New York City and are asking anyone with information about the current location of Felice Kozak to call them at 914-377-7900 or 911 in an emergency.
