DUNEDIN, FL — The city of Dunedin qualified for American Rescue Plan Recovery Act funds estimated at $18.3 million, and received the first payment of $9 million in October.
City staff has been working with ARPA consultant Witt O Brien to identify public projects that are eligible under the ARPA guidelines.
There are specific categories or "buckets" that make up the spending framework:
Supporting the public health response to mitigate the spread of COVID-19COVID-19 negative impacts on families, not-for-profits and business/industries such as tourism, travel and hospitality Replacing lost public sector revenueInvestments in large-scale water, sewer and broadband infrastructure To determine how to best use the funds the city will host three public town hall meetings in November There will also be opportunities for residents to give input through surveys on city social media platforms.

Businesses Thursday, Nov. 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Dunedin City Commission chambers
Residents Thursday, Nov. 9 from 6 t0 8 p.m. at the Dunedin Public Library
Not-For-Profits Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dunedin Public Library.
