Zayn is a 5 year old Minature Pinscher X Chihuahua mix who weighs 13 lbs. He is friendly to all, and would wag his tail at you until the end of time to show you how grateful he is if you choose to adopt him! He is not shy to make new friends and kiss their faces. He is not a cuddler or a lap dog by nature but sometimes he will participate, as he loves belly rubs and will rollover to anyone offering. Zayn's foster describes his schedule as follows: "Zayn sleeps till about 7-7:30 am without a word in his crate. First thing he does is have a drink and go outside to take care of business. He then is a happy guy and wants to follow you around and play or say good morning to the household. After play time, he has breakfast and goes outside again. He has a morning walk and an afternoon walk and fills the rest of the time with a nap and barking at passerbys. He has late afternoon and evening play sessions and is in his crate for the night after 9pm." He is a funny character, almost more like a cat because he rubs up against peoples legs and loves to chase light and reflections. He is not much into fetching or chewing, but bring out a flashlight and he will chase the light like crazy! He is known to growl at inanimate objects like cabinets, the walls, a desk, to try and entice them to play. Zayn lives with a 9 year old and a 14 year old. He would do best in a home with older kids. He is mostly housetrained, but he has not yet learned to speak up when he needs to use the restroom so as long as you schedule his potty breaks well, he should be okay! He would do best with a patient, firm, loving owner who is prepared to take him out on walks and let him be social! This little dude would not enjoy living with a recluse - he loves his people! Zayn is only an option for homes that have had a dog of their own in the last five years. If there are any children in the home they need to be over the age of ten.
