PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Booster shots of the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson are now available in Prince William County, health officials announced on Friday. Eligible residents can also "mix and match" vaccines for their booster dose. For example, a resident can have a Moderna booster shot, even if they received the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccines for their initial vaccination. Booster shots are currently available for anyone who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, is 18 years old or older, and received their vaccine more than two months ago. Booster eligibility requirements for people who originally received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines are more strict. See also: CVS, Walgreens Offering COVID Boosters To Moderna, J&J Recipients Residents who received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines are eligible for a booster six months after their second shot if they are: 65 years old or older18 years old or older and live in a long-term care facility18 years 0ld or older and live or work in high-risk settings18 years old or older and have an underlying medical condition The Prince William Health District, in connection with the Virginia Department of Health, operates a community vaccination center at the former Gander Mountain Location in Woodbridge, near the Potomac Mills Mall. The vaccination center, located at 14011 Worth Avenue, Woodbridge, VA 22192, will offer first, second, and third shots of the Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines. The Gander Mountain vaccination site is open from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Walk-ins are accepted. The Prince William Health District also operates a clinic at the Manassas Mall, 8300 Sudley Rd, Manassas, VA 20109. Appointments are highly recommended, and can be scheduled by calling 877-829-4682 or visiting the VDH website.
