High: 51 Low: 44. Here are the top stories today in Buffalo: A Buffalo police patrol vehicle was struck by a civilian vehicle Thursday at Ashley and Peck streets. Two officers and a civilian male were injured in the collision, though the injuries do not appear to be serious, police said. The driver of the civilian vehicle, whose identity was not released by police, is facing various vehicle and traffic, and drug charges. (Buffalo News)Gov. Kathy Hochul announced a new, $76 million development with 201 mixed-income affordable homes and a brand-new, 22,000-square-foot fresh food market that will open soon in Buffalo. 201 Ellicott was constructed on an underutilized city-owned surface parking lot in Buffalo's central business district after undergoing brownfield remediation. (Niagara Frontier Publications)A vehicle that investigators suspect caused a fatal hit-and-run collision on Oct. 7 on Genesee Street has been recovered from a yard less than a half-mile from the accident scene, according to Buffalo police Thursday. Deputy Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia said the recovered vehicle was reported to have struck a 44-year-old Cheektowaga man on a motorcycle as the vehicle was trying to make a turn at Rapin Place.
