Here are the top stories today in Buffalo: A teenage girl, Lorinia Robinson, is dead after being shot in a moving minivan just a few blocks away from the University at Buffalo, Main Street campus. The 17-year-old victim was the front seat passenger in a minivan just before 9 p.m. Wednesday, when someone standing on Lisbon near Bailey Avenue fired at the vehicle hitting her with one bullet. Buffalo Police say the driver of that minivan then drove her more than a mile away to Langfield near Suffolk before calling 911. By that time it was too late and she was dead when the police arrived. (Buffalo News)St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute has confirmed that Buffalo mayoral candidate India Walton will debate Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown on Wednesday. Walton previously refused a second debate but has decided to take the podium with Brown at 9:15 a.m. on Oct. 27. They will be joined by write-in candidate Benjamin Carlisle for the event, which is closed to the public.
