Mother Goose, which is a program for children ages birth-18 months and their caregivers, starts back up in November! The program is on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30-10 a.m., and runs from November 2-24.
We'll meet in the Library's Jones Meeting Room every week so we can be socially distanced. Feel free to bring a blanket for you and your child to sit on.
When you register, you'll sign up for either Tuesday or Wednesday every week, and your registration will cover all four weeks of the program. Space is limited, so register soon by calling (423) 434-4458!
Mother Goose consists of learning rhymes and songs, reading age-appropriate books, and spending quality time with your children.
Youth Services Manager Betty Cobb says, "Through research we know that children learn to read best when the five practices of playing, talking, singing, writing, and reading are nurtured. There are ways parents can begin helping their children learn even as babies. The Mother Goose program is a really great opportunity for parents to see these simple practices modeled so they can do them at home."
Mother Goose starts on Tuesday, November 2 and spots fill up fast, so register soon by calling (423) 434-4458!
