Cleaning Technicians We aren’t looking for career Janitors. We aren’t looking for Janitors at all. Yes, we clean commercial buildings throughout northern Colorado. But we have a different model. We staff differently, we design work schedules differently, we invest in our team differently. Our jobs aren’t designed for the person who wants to become a Janitor. Our jobs are designed for hard-working, goal-driven people who need extra income to achieve financial goals. Those goals vary. For some, it’s to get out of debt. For others it could be saving up for a down payment on a first house or working their way through college. We expect to hire people who will reach their goals and move on. And we celebrate with them when they do. Why? Well, that’s how Let it Shine started. It all began back in 1994 as a way for a mom to provide more for her kids. She wanted flexibility so that she could manage her kids’ activities, so an 8-5 job wouldn’t work. And she wanted the independence to work hard, get the job done, and then get back to her family. She didn’t envision that it might turn into a company someday, but her reputation and hard work created opportunities for other goal-oriented people to join in. And most have been motivated by a financial objective. We’re different from other commercial cleaning companies in the following ways: ● We only hire part-time workers. This is intended to be a second job or another household income. ● We don’t require prior cleaning experience. ● We equip our people with tools and training in our ways, but then trust them as responsible adults to get the job done. ● We don’t have an overnight shift - all jobs are done in the mornings or early evening so that all of our people can live their lives when most others do. ● We give flexibility for our team to get jobs done around their life, so there is no frantic rush to get to work to start and finish by a certain time. ● We invest in the best tools of the trade which make the work easier on our team members, more effective for our clients, and more efficient for everyone. ● We have really high standards. That’s ok, isn’t it? You want to do the job right anyway! ● We expect this job to be “temporary” for you as you work on your goal driven journey. And we love people who are living life, going places, and earning their way! ● We have great respect for all who go to work, and we have been able to impact thousands by providing them with clean work environments and a fresh start every day. Our work matters and we make a difference! Here’s what we provide: ● Hourly pay of $14-$15 per hour ● Paid time off ● Flexible schedule with responsibility ● Training and feedback for success ● Independence from any kind of micromanagement ● Opportunities for one-on-one education and mentoring in financial literacy, budgeting, goal setting, etc. This won’t work for those who: ● Don’t have a strong work ethic, a sense of responsibility, and a respect for self and others. ● Drop the ball leaving problems for others to clean up. ● Have a lackadaisical approach to work. ● Prefer standing behind a counter or sitting at a desk ● Expect or need a lot of handholding; or who ● Need a lot of social interaction while working. Commercial cleaning is what we do. Providing opportunities to people who are ready to reach new financial goals is what we find rewarding.
