Press release from TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce: October 08, 2021 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Oct. 7, 2021 For additional information, please contact Cathy Skitko at [email protected]; 610-705-1017 Hobart's Run Takes It To the River for Annual 5K The Annual Hobart's Run 5K takes a new path this year on Sunday, Nov. 14:  The beautiful Schuylkill River trail will be the location for "Hobart's Run By The River," the nonprofit's primary annual fundraiser. Planners note the trail will provide a flat, easy run compared to the hilly course used in previous runs, as they hope to attract a greater number of participants -- from beginners, youths, and families, to seasoned 5K enthusiasts of all ages. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the Riverfront Park pavilion located at 100 College Drive in Pottstown, and the run will begin at 9 a.m.   An awards presentation for various age bracket top three male and female winners will follow at 10 a.m. in the pavilion. Hobart's Run is encouraging civic-minded businesses, nonprofits, and individuals to sponsor this popular event.  All proceeds directly benefit Hobart's Run community programs, with a portion supporting the Love Your Block initiative of partner organization Pottstown Community Action. Sponsors at the $500 Gold level will receive a 4" x 4" logo or ad on the official Dry-Wick race t-shirt; $250 Silver sponsors will receive 2" x 2" recognition.  All sponsors will receive public/social media and Hobart's Happenings newsletter thanks for their generosity and support. To become a sponsor and to be sure to receive the recognition noted, please fill out the sponsorship form located on the Hobart's Run website at hobartsrunpottstown.org/news-events or contact Stephanie Trauner by November 1. Our friends at www.pretzelcitysports.com  will be taking race registrations up to midnight the Wednesday before the race.   Runners also may register by contacting Stephanie (see above), completing the form at hobartsrunpottstown.org/news-events, or registering the day of the race.    The fee is only $25 up to November 1; after that and on race day the fee is $30.  Please register by November 1 to be guaranteed a Dry Wick shirt in your preferred size.   Completed forms and payment may be mailed to Hobart's Run, 856-A. E. High St., Pottstown, PA  19464 or dropped through the Hobart's Run mail slot at the side door of the office.
