Description

GILROY, CA — Artifacts from the Gilroy Hot Springs are on display at the Gilroy Historical Museum through March 2022. Loaned family heirlooms from Bill McDonald and Susan McDonald Lundblade will be available. They include the flagpole register where guests at the historic resort wrote their names and comments after hiking to the top of a steep ridge, along with a conserved panoramic photograph of the Hot Springs Hotel and grounds. The exhibit debuted earlier this month and is available during museum hours. The Gilroy Hot Springs was recognized as a national historic landmark in 1995, but has been closed to the public since 2003. A group called the Gilroy Hot Springs Conservancy is working to reopen the area to the public. Click here for more information about the Gilroy Museum.
