Description
LEMONT, IL — Apparent human remains were found Friday in Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve in Lemont, police said.
The DuPage County Forest Preserve Police said they were investigating the discovery of the possible human remains, which were found by contractors working at the preserve.
Elmhurst police were notified because the department filed a missing report for Jake Cefolia on Aug. 8, 2020, the forest preserve said. Cefolia, an Elmhurst resident, was an executive with United Airlines.
Cefolia's vehicle was found parked outside Waterfall Glen in August 2020, but he was never found despite searches in the forest preserve.
The forest preserve is 700 acres.
