WORCESTER, MA — Two men are facing a raft of charges — including vehicular homicide — in connection to a fatal crash along Goldsberry Street in early October. According to Worcester police, Fares Shikh-Omar, 22, and Mifoud Faris, 27, both Worcester residents, were drag racing on Oct. 10 when they crash. Jessica Simone, 35, a passenger in one of the vehicles, died after the incident. Shikh-Omar was charged with motor vehicle homicide, drag racing, operating to endanger and speeding. Faris is facing the same charges, plus a marked lanes violation and other traffic infractions, according to police. Simone was a hairstylist at the Hair Cuttery, and was pursuing a degree at Quinsigamond Community College to become a radiology technician, according to a GoFundMe set up for her after the crash.
