Seeking handyman / maintenance person with some plumbing and minor electrical experience. Full time, Monday-Friday with occasional work opportunities on Saturdays if you desire the extra hours. We’re an established and growing company that inspects residential and commercial properties prior to the close of escrow and carries out retrofit-related work. We are seeking the right person who would like to be a part of the continued and long-term success of the business. Room for growth and pay-raises as you demonstrate your reliability and skills, and are able to meet customer’s needs with less guidance from senior staff. 401K available after three months. You'll be working with a very friendly and respectful staff, in a positive, harmonious, and supportive work environment. Must be able to work alone, and be good at decision-making to prioritize work and problem solve. Company vehicle provided. Responsibilities include: • Driving company vehicle to customer job sites. • Carrying out limited-scope property inspections (not full property inspections. We will train regarding this). • Installing seismic gas shutoff valves (earthquake valves), water heater strapping, toilet replacement, smoke detectors (both hard-wired and battery operated) and carbon monoxide detectors. • Communicate with office manager, and complete and send paperwork/billing info to office at the end of each day. Qualifications: • Prefer at least 3 years of plumbing experience. • Prefer at least 3 years experience doing minor electrical work (installing new hardwired smoke detectors, for instance). • Must have a valid driver’s license with clean DMV record. (Please do not apply if you have violations. You must provide a recent copy of your DMV record as a final step before hiring.) • Fluent in English (English and Spanish-speaking a plus). • Personable and outgoing demeanor and presentation. • Must possess a high-degree of responsibility, a great work ethic, and consistently be at work on-time.
