Hi! I am in the process of getting licensed to open my own childcare/preschool. I have 7+ years of experience and many references. I have 2 sons (6 months and an 11-year-old) and a 13-year-old daughter. I was a preschool teacher for 5+ years and did plenty of child care before that. I am a step 7 on the Oregon registry with a large variety of certifications focused on early childhood education. I personally know how hard it is to find someone trustworthy to leave your kids with which is why I had quit my job 12 years ago to pursue a career as a preschool teacher. I had been given an opportunity to work at the preschool my daughter went to and loved it. However the owner of the preschool decided to move on and up in the world. At that preschool I had my own classroom and would make my own curriculum. My classroom was anywhere from 12-16 kids each day After leaving the preschool I ended up landing a great job in medical and have been doing that since(about 6 years). I now have a 6-month-old son and am finding working in the medical field is stressful enough right now and the thought of leaving him to go back to full time is just unthinkable(I'm currently 4 days a week/20 hrs a week from home) so I thought... why not go back to what I love. I am looking for 2 or 3 families to join us in play and learning. Ages 2-5 and willing to do after school care if needed. I am very close to Silver Rail Elementary(walking distance). I will have 1 opening for 1 child under 24 months. I believe in structured fun and enjoying the outdoors. I truly believe kids learn best thru play so there will be plenty of that! We love art and adventure but will also be incorporating a preschool program for age appropriate kiddos. I buy mostly organic food and follow USDA guidelines. Definitely all organic fruits and veggies. If this is something that sounds like it would be a good fit please email me! I am flexible with hours and rates(I'm an early bird so if you have 1 of those 5am jobs I'm ok with that!). Currently in the process of getting listed with DHS to be able to accept payment thru them as well.
