FeX Group is looking for Truck Drivers / Equipment Operators in Mingo Junction, OH. Requires candidate to be able to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and have a good driving history. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Drive box trucks / dump trucks for local pickups and deliveries. • Operate mobile equipment in a scrap yard throughout the day as needed including front end loaders, material handlers, skip steers, telehandlers • Other duties as assigned REQUIRED EXPERIENCE • Truck Driving - CDL Class A Driver • Experience operating mobile heavy equipment and familiar with preventive maintenance • Experience in the metals recycling industry REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE • High School Diploma or equivalent • CDL Class A Drivers license • Working knowledge of tools and equipment used in a scrap yard including for example: cranes, loaders, forklifts, bobcats, shears, balers, and other production-related equipment • Knowledge of heavy equipment operations • Knowledgeable of scrap metal recycling industry REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Read, speak, and interpret English • Ability to prioritize responsibilities • Strong communication skills • Ability to problem-solve and make practical, solution-based decisions • Ability to work quickly, independently, and with confidence to handle many challenges • Operate with integrity • Work with a positive attitude • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Reliability to report to work on time • Work well with others as part of a team in a fast-paced, non-stop environment • Understand and carry out supervisors’ directives (written and oral instructions) • Flexibility to changing work conditions, assignments, and schedules • Ability to work in all weather elements including rain, snow, cold, and heat • Comfortable working in an industrial environment PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM JOB • Walk and stand for long periods of time; walk and stand on uneven surfaces • Communicate by speech and hearing; hear audible warning signals • Operate and move various equipment – may require dexterity to push, pull, climb, bend, twist, turn, reach, kneel, squat, grasp, etc. • Visual acuity needed for constant observation and scrap inspection • Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects of 50 pounds or more SAFETY • Perform and document daily safety and maintenance checks • Operate equipment in a safe and appropriate manner • Strictly adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards • Follow all safety guidelines and protocol, including wearing of all PPE • Provide a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors ADDITIONAL INFORMATION • Extra hours may be required, sometimes on weekends and weekdays based on volume needs • Position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime
