Express Employment Professionals is NOW HIRING Housekeepers in the Ft. Sanders/UT area. These are Full Time, Temp To Hire, 1st Shift (7AM -4:00PM) positions. 10+ positions to start IMMEDIATELY. Starting pay rate is $12.00/HR. Pay increases to $13/HR after candidates are hired on permanently. No experience required. Candidates must have open availability for this position as this client operates 7 days per week and overtime is required. We are looking for responsible Housekeepers to provide critical custodial services throughout the residence halls designed to maintain all University Housing facilities in a safe, clean, and sanitary condition. It is important for housekeepers to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises, as well as preventing vandalism. The ideal candidate will be focused on student residential housekeeping and building upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are imperative in this position. Candidates must be available 7AM - 4:00PM and must be available to work any day of the week. This position works every other weekend. Responsibilities Clean public areas including lounges, stairwells, lobbies, hallways, recreation rooms, laundry rooms, and multi-purpose rooms Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets Strip/wax hard surface flooring Perform carpet care and cleaning Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap) Wipe mirrors and windows Utilize insecticides to prevent infestation by dangerous pests Report major damages and oversee repairs Dust surfaces, remove trash and recyclables Skills desired but not required Proven experience as housekeeper, custodian, janitor or in a similar role Knowledge of use and housekeeping and industrial cleaning equipment and appliances Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices Attention to detail and conscientiousness Very good physical condition and strength High school diploma is preferred but not required Must have good attendance record.
