Full-time, light duty maintenance position for company headquartered in Short North area. Involves drywall patch/repair, painting, changing bulbs, batteries, soap cartridges and contacting commercial contractors for repairs as directed. The work week is generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., minimum of 40 hours weekly and may require occasional obligations for evening or weekend work, subject to overtime requirements. Schedule may also be flexible pending demonstrated dependability. Drywall patch and repair along with painting skills are the most essential functions of the position. May communicate with vendors and contractors as needed, take inventory and distribute supplies as necessary, assist in coordinating facility inspections for licensing, move office furniture, may meter mail or make mail occasional mail drops. Works under direct supervision. This position will rely upon instructions and/or pre-established guidelines to perform the primary functions of the job. Primary job functions typically do not require exercising independent judgement. Individual MUST be dependable, able to follow instructions and reliably carry out instructions. QUALIFICATIONS: Physical demands require ability to sit, walk, step up, step down, climb, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, grasp, carry and lift up to 50 pounds on a repetitive basis. Color determination vision is necessary as well as the ability to read. High School Graduate or equivalent; 1+ Years of experience in general maintenance or construction field; Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures to maintain safety standards; Ability to manage time effectively to organize and complete work orders; Ability to maintain tools, equipment and work spaces in an organized manner; Ability to communicate and work in a cooperative and effective manner; Valid Ohio driver's license, valid auto insurance and driving record with < 4 points; and Must be willing to work toward agency goals; and Subject to mandatory pre-employment criminal background check and drug testing.
