Guitar player looking people to jam with/start a band

New-ish to town, guitar player looking for people to jam with and maybe start a band. not asking much, just to have your own gear (entry level or pro) with years of experience or just starting as long as you are passionate about it. All I want is to have fun, jamming or gigging. short background: I played in a death metal band, started from the ground, recorded a demo album and toured for a few states, music festivals, etc. That was about 15 years ago. got recently into playing again. but for now I'm just enjoying the hobbie, got a career I'm happy with, wife, kids; So commit to compose new music, touring, etc. it's not something I want to do. I just want to play, have fun, and use the gear I have to perform. In a garage, music venue, party, wedding, divorce celebration, graduation, music festival, stadium... been there done that, so I don't relly care about the crowd size. So, not looking for the next hit, or be famous; definitely not probable that I'd make more money from music that my current job, so no quitting that either. If that's one of your goals, keep it going man, definitely can be done with hard work. I'm just passed that. So, only covers and stress free for now. I can play metal music, pop hits, acoustic for nice events, rock's classics, instrumentals, whatever, as long as is music I enjoy. not a "brutal metal only" guy anymore. it can be from Emperor, Marduk, 1349 to Ed Sheeran, Coldplay and anything in between. Bands I listen to, I've played songs from: Opeth Amon Amarth Lamb of god Behemoth Dream Theater Animals as leaders Soen Pantera Metallica Judas Priest Megadeth Iron Maiden Carcass Vader Testament Kalmah Devourment Cannibal Corpse Children of bodom Red hot chilli peppers System of a Down Carlos Santana Intervals Plini Audioslave Korn Limp Bizkit Papa Roach Rage against the machine and you get the idea from those. pretty wide variety. Let me know if anyone is interested, if you only want serious projects I totally get it, I was there too. Just thought I would post it in case there's anyone else in the same situation.
