Program Description:
The course offers an introduction to and overview of dance/movement therapy. Dance/movement therapy is: the psychotherapeutic use of movement to promote emotional, social, cognitive and physical integration of the individual. Students will learn about history, theory and current research within the field of dance/movement therapy. In addition, they will learn practical tools for recognizing nonverbal cues and utilizing movement interventions within a therapy setting.
Friday, November 5, 2021 6 pm - 9 pm
Saturday, November 6, 2021 9 am - 4 pm
