Come learn about employee ownership through the worker cooperative model and the process of the upcoming Co-op Academy. This information session will explain the process for the upcoming Co-op Academy and its emphasis on helping existing businesses transition to employee ownership through the worker co-op model. Our staff will explain the co-op model, how decisions get made, how the money flows, and the pathway to conversion. We will also answer your questions and help you determine if transitioning to a worker co-op is the exit strategy for your organization. Who should attend: Business owners considering succession strategies for their company.Workers interested in creating a worker owned and managed company either through conversion or as a new company. Business Advisors who want to learn more about worker co-ops as an exit strategy. NWCDC is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), organization devoted to community economic development primarily through the cooperative business model. We specialize in housing co-op conversions and worker-owned cooperatives, but work throughout the co-op business sector.
