Weston & Sampson CMR is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with 5+ years of construction industry with progressive responsibilities. Projects are located within Massachusetts. What you’ll do: •Review plans & specs, as well as MEP, Civil, and Architectural plans related to the project. •Works in tandem with the Construction Manager, Superintendent, and Foreman. •Review the contract, the proposal, and the bid file. •Prepare a schedule summary for work based on the following factors as appropriate; general contractors’ overall schedule, owners schedule, contract time, equipment lead time. •Create a schedule of values and submit to the owner/engineer/general contractor as appropriate. •Work with Estimator to buy out project with emphasis on saving money from quotes. •Communicate project status to Construction Manager, General Managers and Principal in Charge. Report any changes or concerns. •Prepare monthly estimates to complete (ETC’s) to accurately outline the labor and other direct costs remaining. •Prepare change orders, create purchase orders and subcontracts, review sbumittals, submit RFIs as the need arises. •Knowledge of financials of the project and manage budget. •Coordinate manpower with area scheduler; Complete 3-6-week work schedules; update and maintain for all assigned projects. Work collaboratively with AGM’s and the Construction Manager to schedule staff. •Track the financials of the project by estimating the remaining expenses on a monthly basis. •Address client issues and queries in accurate and timely manner. •Perform post project review; as-built documentation; complete and review O&M Manual complete final application, review financial project performance. What you will bring: •4 year Technical college degree •Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and must be able to climb at ladder, minimum of 15 feet. •Strong communication skills. •Knowledge of applicable codes. •The ability to meet deadlines, to work cooperatively with others and when necessary, work overtime and weekends. •Must be able to drive a minimum of 4 hours a day. •Must have or obtain Department of Transportation (DOT) health card. •Must have or obtain 10-hour OSHA certification. •Proficient with personal computer and software (MS Office, Project). •Must have demonstrated budgetary and management skills. •Experience managing subcontractors and personnel a must. •Valid driver’s license with good driving record for travel in New England. www.westonandsampson.com/join-our-team
