Description
In this class we will be sewing a Table Runner! We will be using 2 coordinating fabrics. Come sew with Kim at the shop! In this class we will be learning how to sew a reversible table runner. This skill will last you a lifetime, and with it you can make table runners for all seasons and in all sizes! There are many ways to make table runners, and this particular class will cover a wide side hem, and straight ends method. Checkout the other Table Setting Decor sewing classes I have listed! Dinner napkins, Placemats, and this one, table runner. By taking all 3 classes, you can create an entire coordinating table setting in time for the holidays! Because table setting decor is such a personal choice, you have 2 options for this class. 1. You can choose to use the fabric I will provide for your runner. I will supply the fabric shown in the photos here, a holiday red dots, a rustic cabin / deer / buffalo plaid print, or a red, green, and cream snowflake print. You will choose 2 coordinating fabrics for your table runner. I will provide enough fabric for each person to make a runner up to about 14" x 78". This fabric is 100% cotton and has been pre-washed and dried. (will not shrink after washing) 2. You can bring your own fabric! If you are bringing your own fabric, you will need 2 coordinating fabrics. Because everyone's tables are different sizes, here's how you will determine how much fabric to buy: Measure the length of your table, and add 13" to that measurement. This is the length of fabric you will need, plus a little extra to accommodate shrinkage. **You will have a large long piece of leftover fabric. This leftover piece will be large enough to make placemats and / or dinner napkins if you are also taking those classes. Please be sure your fabric is 100% cotton, or a cotton/linen blend. PRE-WASH, DRY, and PRESS before class! If bringing 100% linen, just pre-wash, AIR DRY, and PRESS. (If you do not pre-wash and dry your fabric, your finished product will shrink after your first washing. Boo)! SKILL LEVEL: Beginners/Intermediate. (you must have previous sewing knowledge, and be able to navigate and use your sewing machine without much help) ***If bringing your own machine please be SURE it is working before class! This is an INDOOR class. Face masks are mandatory. I agree to terms in waiver - By purchasing ticket, you are agreeing to terms in waiver. Please contact us if you would still like to sign up for this class, but have issue with any part of waiver.
