Celebration of Love with Bridget and Sam To our beloved community, We are writing to invite you to spend the afternoon with us on Saturday, November 6th. As many of you know, the formal celebration of our partnership (where we will exchange our community and spiritual vows) is scheduled for September 2023, but we've chosen to legally wed this year. We intend to have a short commitment ceremony with our families in the arboretum in the morning, followed by an afternoon in Franklin Park with food, drinks, a wonderful playlist (thanks Annie and Ellie!) and most importantly, all of you. Please feel free to join us starting from 1:00 ish pm on at the Shattuck picnic area of Franklin Park-- we’ll hang out until evening. Everyone on this email will be invited to celebrate with us in 2023, so please don’t worry if you can’t make it! We will be spread out with blankets and will have hand/feet warmers available. Please come dressed in whatever will keep you warm. Our day will be extremely relaxed and informal, so we ask you to bring along anything that will make extended outdoor time most comfortable for you. Everyone invited to celebrate has been vaccinated and we will be outside all day. We do ask you to bring masks along as we navigate one another’s COVID boundaries. Finally, as many of you know, we intend to merge our last names. By default, we will both use Burns-Keezell. That said, we’ve been trying to imagine a more creative combination of the two but haven’t come up with anything we love...Beezell, Kurns, etc. We invite any ideas or suggestions from this crowd-- please send along potential “Burns Keezell” name combinations if any come to mind! We are so grateful that all of you are a part of our lives. We are delighted to take this next step in our journey together through the warmth and care of this community. Please no gifts-- we feel fortunate to be able to spend the day with all of you. Feel free to bring a +1 (if they are not already on this email thread) -- just let us know so we can plan accordingly.
