Alignment is an art gallery show that focuses on the chakras as a form of healing. Alignment will be an art gallery fundraising event in collaboration with Time Of Butterflies. 100% of the profits will be donated to Time of Butterflies, a non-profit that provides workshops, resources, support, and awareness for the BIPOC communities in the Boston area; focusing on Women of Color in regard to Domestic Violence, Sexual Abuse, and Emotional Abuse and other forms of trauma. Artist Behind the Art: Giselle Bonilla was born and raised in Boston, MA who identifies as an Afro-Dominican woman. Giselle is a co-founder of Time Of Butterflies, and the Foundation Trust Emerging Artist Fellow at Follow Your Art Community Studios where she created her art pieces. "In my art I focused on the chakras as a form of healing in regard to how my chakras were affected by the abuse I have experienced as well as other trauma as a woman of color. I found healing in exploring my spirituality as well as many other forms of healing. Through my spirituality I was able to connect with my highest self, and reconnect with my body. My pieces shows growth, power, love, and overall alignment. I hope that those who see my art can see themselves in them, and connect. My art is mixed media that shows alignment and balance while incorporating dry leaves, flowers, and tree branches." - Giselle Appetizers and refreshments will be provided.
