Saint Luke's is pleased to host a performance of "Body and Land," featuring sacred dance paired with Vivaldi's The Four Seasons concertos.
Ekklesia Contemporary Ballet, based in Middletown, CT, received a grant from The Episcopal Church to develop this program. Body & Land is a four part performance that follows the path of the four seasons. The work uses dance--an embodied art form--to compare the effects of climate change on both human bodies and the body of the earth. We're partnering with both St. John's, Stamford, and St. Mark's, New Canaan in hosting and promoting this event, and we're also pleased that Nancy Coughlin, CEO of Person-to-Person, will join the dialogue to offer her insight into how climate change impacts both her work and the lives of those P2P serves.
