Toast the new Pegasus Media Project and all the upcoming opportunities!Applaud the new recipients of the Pegasus Community Awards!___________________________________________________________________________ Dallas Arts2Work+Pegasus Media Project Initiative OVERVIEW: In the spring of 2021, Pegasus Media Project partnered with The Alliance for Media Arts + Culture’s Arts2Work program and implemented an Apprenticeship Workforce Program for visual storytellers of underserved and underrepresented communities in Dallas through project-based, personalized education in digital media, audio/video production and post, cinema studies, emerging media arts and creative technology. The Alliance for Media Arts + Culture’s Arts2Work program is the first ever federally-registered national Apprenticeship Program in media arts and creative technologies. This initiative was made possible through MIT Solve, New Profit and Workforce Solutions Greater Dallas. MISSION: To create a workforce initiative centering racial and gender justice in a bold new model of Multimedia Producer Apprenticeship Program (MPAP) for careers in digital media and creative technologies. The Arts2Work program, in partnership with Pegasus Media Project, will offer Adobe certification in creative media technologies, professional mentorship in storytelling, video & audio production, essential skills training portfolio development, & Apprenticeship opportunities for emerging creative workers in Dallas. VISION: To cultivate & activate a sustainable, community based network of local organizations, media professionals and industry-related employers. This network will be able to support a local industry-approved, with an earn-&-learn ecosystem for multimedia producers, digital editors, and related media careers. GOALS: Secure an employer-affiliated Training Lab to serve as a studio model for ongoing programs. Build a network of professional training and post-secondary education partnerships.Cultivate and secure sector partnerships with diverse local and national employers. Cultivate a Mentor Alliance of local working producers, directors, cinematographers and editors. Raise awareness among job-seekers about the demand for, skill requirements, and career potential of high-growth jobs in media arts + creative technologies.
