We’re looking for works that spook, bump in the night, are bloody and majestic, travel in time and play with form and expectation. This is work that considers the futurity and magical in the mundane as well as the fantastic. And finally, works that tell of times either passed, times present, or times future -- but with a funky twist. 'The Otherworldly is all around us: from the river to the spirit to the hologram. This call is right on time for Halloween season, Dia De Los Muertos and Hoodoo and Gullah Geechee heritage months. I find that films which question and inquire into the unknown, the forgotten, the mucky and sticky and horrifying and magical are to, some degree, the films that bring us closest together. There’s no mistake that some of the weirdest and strangest films are the ones we talk about with our families and friends. So, i think, we should bring on the spook' —Vernon Jordan III (Assistant Director of Programs) **ARE YOU A LOCAL FILMMAKER??** We are NOW ACCEPTING SUBMISSIONS for this program. **Deadline to submit is Friday October 22nd** LEARN MORE.
