A Candid Conversation about Women Entrepreneurs and Mental Health As women entrepreneurs, we manage a multitude of tasks daily; to lead and encourage our teams, provide support and guidance, make difficult decisions, and overcome challenges and hurdles. Mental health is a part of our overall health. Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious or depressed affects all aspects of our lives, including the well-being of our companies. Of the many balls that women entrepreneurs juggle, tending to our mental health and well-being is the one we drop the most. When we take care of our well-being first, we are better able to assist others. We show up stronger, are more productive, more creative, and happier people. In the 3rd Annual Power of WE (Women Entrepreneurs) we are boldly addressing how women entrepreneurs experience the emotional and mental struggles of running a business. Some experience deeper challenges like suicidal thoughts. Recognizing the signs in ourselves and others is critical in changing the outcomes when women struggle with mental health problems. A certified trainer with the Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation will share the valuable tools they teach across Tarrant County about questioning, persuading and referring. The Jordan Elizabeth Harris Foundation provides suicide prevention training and education for children and adults, as well as depression research funding. All services are 100% donor-funded, a gift today will help others tomorrow. Immediately following is the annual kick-off party for Global Entrepreneurship Week on the lower level which includes complimentary food and drinks, networking, and a pumping DJ.
