ABOUT YLF Since 1994 the Young Leaders Fund (YLF), with support from The Chicago Community Trust, has provided young professionals with an innovative way to make a difference through hands-on grant making. YLF members learn the process of grant making from start to finish-from researching organizations and conducting site visits to making impactful grants. YLF makes grants in three focus areas: arts and culture, child development and education, community and economic development. YLF has awarded more than $800,000 to strengthen over 160 emerging nonprofits throughout metropolitan Chicago.
