Description

A family-friendly, hands-on experience in our gallery, ceramic studio, glass studio, and printmaking space. Thanks to your support of our Seizing the Future Campaign, we were able to create new education studios and install new LED gallery lighting and we are delighted to share this with you! Enjoy the fall air and a cup of hot cider on the front lawn amongst the Exposed exhibition sculptures before you enter the galleries, then explore themes of identity in art through the exhibition in our gallery and activities in the Hands-On Room. Next, teaching artists will take you through our new classroom spaces, creating monoprints with our printmaking press and glass creations in our new Glass Studio. Cap off the Open House by creating a custom tile in our brand-new Ceramic Studio to be incorporated into a community mosaic for all to enjoy. This event is free to enter. In order to protect the health and safety of our community and staff, advance registration is strongly encouraged and group sizes will be limited to accommodate physical distancing. When registering, please account for the full number of guests in your party, including small children. If your group exceeds the number of available tickets for your desired entry time, please contact us at [email protected] for assistance. Masks are required at all times when inside the gallery and classroom/studio spaces. Cider and donuts generously provided by Cold Hollow Cider. The Current is a member supported, community arts and education non-profit organization in the village of Stowe, VT whose mission is to enhance the human experience through the visual arts. We produce major exhibitions featuring internationally and nationally recognized artists and local Vermont artists and artwork. We offer art classes for youth and adults year-round and collaborate with businesses and organizations to bring the arts to our region.
