Description

Volunteer with SWE Memphis Join SWE Memphis as we volunteer at the Speed Networking and Mentoring Event for University of Memphis SWE Students at the University of Memphis. Volunteers will speak to engineering students for 5-10 minutes, speed networking style. This will allow the students to ask questions about your engineering discipline, job, career path and more. At the conclusion of the event, the student and professional may wish to exchange contact information for additonal mentoring if both parties are interested. Please note: This is an in person event. COVID guidlines do apply and masks will be REQUIRED. The Mission of SWE Memphis is to empower women in the greater Memphis area to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering and technology professions as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity and inclusion.   The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a not-for-profit educational and service organization that empowers women to succeed and advance in the field of engineering, and to be recognized for their life-changing contributions as engineers and leaders. SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career for women through an exciting array of training and development programs, networking opportunities, scholarships, and outreach and advocacy activities.
