We will go over the basics of making an edge grain cutting board from walnut, cherry, and maple wood which will yield roughly a 9x15 board. We will go over the basics of making an edge grain cutting board from walnut, cherry, and maple wood which will yield roughly a 9x15 board. This is a 2-day class! It will take place Wednesday and Thursday starting at 6:00 pm and running until 10 pm. The class fee is $60 and covers all materials. Dues-paying members receive a discount when they use the discount code posted in Discord or by contacting Steve. Learn skills for flattening, sanding, jointing, and glue-ups. Tools used will be the table saw, jointer, planer, drum sander, and routing table. Minors will require an adult to take the class with them. Face coverings and eye protection are required. No sandals. Goggles available upon request. Masks must cover nose and mouth, as mandated in NC. Hand sanitizer and bathrooms are available for hand washing during the event. Guests will be asked to maintain social distance during the class. MakerSpace Charlotte is located in the brick side door, up the wheelchair ramp. Ring bell for entry.
