Marimba Pacifica - The longest running Marimba Band in California! - is seeking new performers, primarily on Marimba, Treble/Lead and Bass. We play a wide variety of World Music, including African Latin and Jazz, a few covers but much of it original. Almost entirely Dance Music. We perform regularly throughout Northern California both public and private gigs. Rehearsals are in North Berkeley (near two bus lines) gigs are generally Bay Area based, but enough money can get us anywhere. Ideal Candidates already play those genres on keyboards or percussion and are ready to deepen their experience while having fun with a well-established band. Again, I will train (I have taught music for 50+ years on the faculty at SF STATE, Brazil Camp, Jazz Camp, Mills College etc!) and have performed worldwide with innumerable Ensembles.
