Where to move to?

I'm hoping to move further up north in California (Chico, Redding, Shasta) or completely out of California. Somewhere where there is peace, quiet and little crime (preferably no crime but...that's impossible). I want to live amongst trees, creeks, lakes, birds, raccoons...you know nature! I am so tired of Bay Area politics, crime and the cost of living. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where a nice, calm and affordable area an early education preschool teacher can move to? I would be incredibly grateful for any recommendations 🙏. Thank you!
