Director of Business Operations Company Description: We are a privately held multi-boutique investment firm offering high value-added investment strategies for institutions and individual investors. Formed in 1988, the firm is an SEC registered investment advisor that offers US and international equity strategies. Our entrepreneurial culture emphasizes teamwork and flexibility and a strong commitment to the highest ethical standards. We are currently seeking an individual to manage firm wide business operational functions and to provide support to the investment reporting processes. Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to; serving as the primary liaison to outsourced service providers including IT, payroll, accountants, auditors and compliance consultants. The successful candidate will also assist with our quarter end investment reporting process and manage/oversee special projects. The ideal candidate will have 8 to 15 years of financial services industry experience and will possess the ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and accurately and be able to perform tasks in an extremely organized fashion with strong project management skills. The position requires honesty, integrity and discretion along with a strong work ethic and a willingness to contribute wherever needed. Qualifications: • Experience in financial services operations • Impeccable attention to detail • Solid understanding of investment advisor business concepts • Strong information technology aptitude • Positive, can-do attitude – a problem solver • Adept at managing various tasks effectively • Team player with a desire to help others • Self-motivated spirit focused on driving efficiency and organizational improvements • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Duties Include: • Coordinate IT and be a go-to resource for employees to help them do their jobs effectively • Manage HR related tasks including payroll, administering benefits, onboarding employees, and special projects • Coordinate with the administrators, auditors and accountants on monthly accounting packages, annual audits and tax preparation • General office management – handling mail, meeting vendors, coordinating with building management • Vendor management • Assist with preparation of marketing materials and client reporting • Various internal reporting tasks including compliance support and data analytics Compensation: We aim to offer a competitive and attractive compensation plan that will include a base salary, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to earn annual bonus pay based on merit and overall company performance.
