Description
DANVERS, MA — The Route 128 southbound on-ramp from Endicott Street near the Danvers/Peabody line will be closed once again Friday night through Saturday morning as part of ongoing work on the $24.7 million Waters River bridge replacement project.
The state Department of Transportation said the on-ramp will close at 7 p.m. on Friday and not reopen until 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Additional temporary lane closures on Route 128 will be necessary during work hours with travel limited to one lane in either direction.
Eastbound traffic on Endicott Street looking to get onto Route 128 southbound will be detoured to Route 128 north to Exit 42. Westbound traffic will be detoured to Route 114 East and then to the Route 128 southbound ramp.
Safety signs, traffic control devices and police details will be in place. Drivers in the area should expect delays, reduce speeds and use caution.
